That is the word of the day, ladies and gentlemen. Flexible.
Whether concerning weather (hello, late evening thunderstorm!), mosquitoes (which are like birds in the Delta), or the ever-stressful placement process, the last 24 hours of Induction have got me thinking about flexibility. I’ve always recognized it as a skill to develop, but constantly pushed it to the back burner.
Mostly because I, typically, am the one in charge.
Now, however, I am at the mercy of my placement districts. Although I was really taken aback by stories of people not getting put in schools until August (eek!), I am really coming around to how this summer will allow me to grow in my humility and flexibility as a professional.
